RIMS job fraud busted: 2 women caught by ACOAM-LUP


Imphal August 3: Two women including a young spinster were caught for cheating people by promising them job at RIMS. Both the lady were paraded before the media at the ACOAM-LUP office located at Lamphelpat today. Speaking to media persons  Ksh. Somorendro, President – ACOAM-LUP said Wangkhem Bijaya Devi (23) d/o W. Manichandra Singh of Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai and  Nongmaithem Sandhyarani Devi (34) D/o Late Biramangol Singh of Leimakhong presently staying in the residence of Bijaya at Chingmeirong have taken rupees seven lakhs and seventy thousand from two persons by promising them job at RIMS.The two persons were also alleged to have cheated many other peoples in the similar way. He said both the women were working under the instruction of one Yumnam Brajakishor @ Bishorjit of Moirang, a staff of RIMS Administrative block and his daughter Seema. Speaking to media Bijaya said she had collected an amount of Rs. 3lacs and 70 thousand from Binu Moibungkhongbam s/o (L) Muhindro of Naoremthong Laishram Leikai  and Rs. 4 lacs from Yumnam Sanjaobi w/o Ingobi of Mayang Imphal, Yangbi in connivance with her friend Seema for jobs at RIMS. She said she met Seema while she was studying class XII at Sangai Hr, Sec. School, Khabam. At present Seema is studying Hospitality management in Babina Hospitality and Management.  She confessed that she received a sum of  Rs. 10,000/- from the amount of Rs. 7lacs and 70 thousand from the father of Seema as commission. President of ACOAM-LUP appeals to general public to remain aware from such fraudulence to avoid further cheating. He said people should not encourage corruption as it would amount to be cheated easily.
