IMPHAL/DIMAPUR, Aug 10: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) said the outfit had released an active member of NSCI-IM identified as one Thokulung Kamson (29), s/o Sagangam of Longchum village on August 4who was apprehended on August 3 at Noney in Tamenglong district.ZUF information secretary A. Dangmei said that the NSCN-IM cadre was released on humanitarian ground and also due to the numerous requests from Zeliangrong frontal organizations namely Zeliangrong Youth Front, Rongmei Naga Council, Zeliangrong Baudi."He was handed over to his father Sagangam and his uncle Landonmei with a pledge that he should not work against the ZUF in future", said Dangmei.Meanwhile, D.T.Lincoln, Supervisor of Ceasefire Monitoring Board of Khaplang group returned to the NSCN-IM fold.According to the NSCN-IM, Lincoln had defected to NSCN-K more than two years back."On returning to Hebron he deeply expressed his lack of political farsightedness and regretted for his error of acting in hurry. He disclosed that there was nothing in Khaplang group and shows no seriousness in the Naga political issue as his mind is only focussing on his relationship with the Myanmar government. Khaplang is also least bother about Naga reconciliation and he is exploiting and fooling the Nagas in the name of Naga sovereignty by way extorting the Nagas and business groups," the NSCN-IM said today.
